This chart ranks countries by the GDP per hour worked, better known as labor productivity. Data is sourced from the International Labour Organization, as of 2023.

Wall Street experienced a turbulent week, with the three major averages showing markedly different performances. The benchmark S&P 500 (SP500) ended its longest weekly winning streak of the year, during which it achieved 47 record closes for 2024. In contrast, the blue-chip Dow declined for the week, impacted by disappointing quarterly results and negative updates from its constituents. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite extended its weekly winning streak to seven and reached a new record intraday high after 74 trading days.
